Paddles Up!
Welcome to the home of Dragonboating in Oakland, CA!

Renegades Mission
The Oakland Renegades Dragon Boat Club was born April 1st, 2009, started as a collaborative effort by the Oakland Parks and Recreation Department and a group of paddlers from the dragon boat community. Our goal is to promote the sport of dragon boat racing, provide paddling opportunities to the community (including youth groups and schools), compete at the many races during the year, and to have as much fun as possible doing it!
We invite the public to come join us for practice sessions at the Jack London Aquatic Center. The first lesson is free and if you decide to join our team, the fees are modest. You don’t need any experience or equipment as we provide the paddles and life jackets and we welcome all ages and fitness levels.
